We have been furiously hand-wrapping all of your orders from Black Friday and Cyber Monday all week. Everyone except Georgia Rose—pictured below—who would’ve helped if she had opposable thumbs.
As of this afternoon, over a hundred packages are in the mail and on their way to their new homes all around the world!
We put a ton of love and care into the wrapping of each package, and they arrive completely ready to hand off as gifts—to a loved one or yourself. If you're sending directly to friends, we’ll even include a personalized note (Our cofounder, Bremond, has the best handwriting out of all of us and has graciously offered her skills. Just put a note in your order for us so we make sure what to write!)
That said, if you want to get the books by Christmas, make sure to get your orders in by December 15th. That means you have ten days left to shop the virtual Quite Literally shelves.
You may be thinking, “But wait, which book should I choose?! I have analysis paralysis! I took four hours last week trying to decide what cereal to buy!”
While we can’t help you with broader life decisions, we do have a book rec for everyone. Here are our suggestions:
For Readers Who Love Stories About Stepping Into Adulthood and Defining Your Identity
A layered, compelling novel about race, colorism, reinvention, and the choices a young woman makes as she builds a life on her own terms.
For Readers Who Love Domestic Stories that Challenge Traditional Gender Roles

A smart, surprisingly modern look at marriage, labor, and what happens when a family flips every expectation to find a better way forward.
For Readers Who Love Atmospheric Family Mysteries with Resilient Young Protagonists
A gothic, absorbing story filled with secrets, emotional undercurrents, and a sharp young heroine who sees what the adults around her refuse to face.
For Readers Who Love Foundational Feminist Fiction and Big, Imaginative Ideas
A witty, provocative novel that reimagines how society works when women build it themselves, and what happens when three men crash the party.
For Readers Who Love Historical Fiction that Exposes the Gap Between America’s Ideals and its Realities

A bold, biting satire that tackles race, power, and hypocrisy on the eve of the Civil War through the story of a child whose presence unravels a family’s moral façade.
For Readers who Love the Art of Hosting

A charming, practical 19th-century handbook filled with advice, attitude, and the kind of hosting wisdom that still works today.
Happy reading!
