Last month we announced our biggest and most exciting collaboration yet. We partnered with the storied Strand bookstore in NYC to bring one lucky winner and a friend to New York City for a visit to New York a book shopping spree at the Strand and the entire Quite Literally Books library.

More than 10,000 of you entered the contest and we were blown away by your enthusiasm for books and independent bookstores. Choosing a winner felt impossible because we had so many entries, but now we’ve got one.

CONGRATULATIONS to Arlene S. of Florida, a native New Yorker who plans on bringing her teenage daughter with her to visit the Strand and see her hometown.

We called Arlene this afternoon and her enthusiasm was contagious! “I’m excited to come with my daughter and have her see where I grew up, the museums and very specific bookstores. The Strand is one of them,” Arlene told us.

We can’t wait to welcome the two of them up here in the new year!
